CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Society for Behavioral Neuroendocrinology welcomes reports describing new basic or clinical research in behavioral neuroendocrinology. Individuals using a multi-disciplinary or comparative approach are encouraged to participate in this meeting.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING ABSTRACTS:

  1. Print abstracts (12 point font recommended) on a single page with a 2.5 cm border on all sides. Abstracts must be printed on this page and will be published as submitted.
  2. Provide three (3) hard copies of each abstract submitted plus a disk copy identical to the printed abstract in MS Word (if possible -- if not, send disk copy as a text or ASCII file).
  3. Abstracts should contain the following: (1) A descriptive title (typed in all capital letters), (2) the names of the authors and location where the research was performed, (3) description of the research. The total number of words (including title, authors, etc.) cannot exceed 300.
  4. Submit a separate abstract transmittal form and copyright agreement form with each abstract. Note that abstracts are to be published in Hormones and Behavior, requiring a signed copyright agreement.
  5. Membership in the Society for Behavioral Neuroendocrinology is not required to submit abstracts.
  6. Authors will be notified by May 1, 2002, about their presentations.
  7. Most presentations will be posters.  A few abstracts will be selected for oral presentations (10 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions) if they fit a symposium theme (see preliminary program).
