CONFERENCE HOUSING

This year, two types of housing possibilities will be available during the conference.

1. Housing is available on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin in two different locations at the proximity of the conference sessions (UT Housing forms).

  • Housing is available in the San Jacinto Residence Hall (the main site of the conference sessions).  This is a new student dorm on campus.  Rooms are comfortable and available as single (twin bed) or double (twin beds) with private baths.  The number of rooms available is limited and will be offered as first-come-first-served basis.
  • Student housing is available in the Jester Center.  The Jester Center is adjacent to the San Jacinto Residence Hall and most of the conference sessions.  The rooms contain two twin beds and share baths with one adjacent room.  Students will have priority for registering at the Jester Center.

2. In addition, a number of local hotels have been contacted.  These hotels gave us group rates varying between $80 to $110 per day (beware that weekend days may be more expensive than weekdays).  We have reserved blocks of rooms in these hotels.  Most of these hotels are located some distance away from campus (8-20 blocks) but are closer to dining and entertainment.  Please make sure to mention these hotels that you are coming for SBN or the Society for Behavioral Neuroendocrinology.
